Athena Tutorial

A step-by-step guide to using the Athena database and analysis tools.

Athena is an Arabidopsis thaliana promoter database that provides a number of interactive promoter visualization and analysis tools to facilitate the study of Arabidopsis promoter sequences. Tutorials are provided for each of the four software tools provided by Athena: Visualization, Data Mining, Analysis, and Custom Motif.

The Athena website and analysis tools work best with the Mozilla Firefox web browser, though in most cases, other commonly used web browsers should also work well. JavaScript must be enabled in the web browser for the Athena web tools to function properly.

Click the links given below to go to the tutorials.

Note: Your browser's text size must be set to medium or smaller for all results to display correctly in Athena. To change this go to View -> Text Size -> Medium in Internet Explorer.
